Coyote Park is a project of firsts. It is the first time I have composed and recorded a song entirely by myself, and it is the first time I made a song for a “commission”. We brainstormed the idea of including a song as part of Parlor, but I had nothing prepared. Yet, I didn’t wait for the right mood. I locked myself up in my studio for a few days and just played what came to me.

The words started with a slight push from Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, and the music started with the simple idea of stomping on something. It ended weeks later by coming back to the melodies that stuck to me after hours of recording and mixing. A riddle: the song itself is a journey, but also a circle. Enjoy.
